W&H honored commercial brokers during its annual party in November at the "21" Club. In attendance were 190 of Manhattan's top brokers, several of whom received special awards. David Firestein of Northwest Atlantic Partners received the "Retail Deal of the Year" award for representing Starbucks in the leasing of an 8,400 square-foot, three-level space in the Empire State Building, which will become the largest Starbucks in Manhattan, and one of the largest in the world. Evan Margolin of Studley received the "Most Transformative Deal of the Year" for Xerox's Carr Business Systems's lease at 112 West 34th Street - the first office deal ever at the Herald Square property, now undergoing a major repositioning.

Newmark Knight Frank won the award for the "Most Deals Within the W&H Portfolio." In recognition of this achievement, W&H donated $10,000 in Newmark Knight Frank's name to the Robin Hood Foundation, which works to eradicate poverty by funding community-based programs.
