Leasing activity across the W&H portfolio remained busy throughout the holiday season. Some of the notable deals in this period included:

Aetna Life Insurance Company (NYSE: AET) leased 40,000 square feet on two full floors in the base of 1333 Broadway, becoming the first major office tenant in the Herald Square property. Tenant brokers: William Korchak and Andrew Flint of Jones Lang LaSalle.

Aéropostale, the specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories, leased the entire 16th floor of 30,000 square feet at 112 West 34th Street, bringing the firm's total occupancy to nearly 90,000 square feet.

Joe Torre's Safe at Home® foundation leased space on the 18th floor of The Lincoln Building. Joe and Ali Torre established the foundation in 2002 with the mission of ending domestic violence and saving lives. Tenant broker: Alex Cohen of Cushman & Wakefield.

The public relations firm of Peter Brown, an associate of the Beatles and author of "The Love You Make," a Beatles biography, signed a lease at 250 West 57th Street. The firm, Brown Lloyd James (BLJ), represents such clients as Andrew Lloyd Webber and his production company, The Really Useful Group, Ltd., the BBC, Forbes, AARP, Polo Ralph Lauren, Christie's and IBM. Tenant broker: Ruth Colp- Haber of Wharton Property Advisors, Inc.

Funaro and Co., an Italian financial firm, leased the entire 41st floor of 20,000 square feet at the Empire State Building. Tenant broker: Michael Burgio of Cushman & Wakefield.

Through four separate transactions, Pipeline Financial Group, Inc. expanded its space at The Lincoln Building to bring its total occupancy to more than 25,000 square feet, representing an increase of more than 84 percent. Pipeline owns New York City-based Pipeline Trading Systems LLC and operates the Pipeline Alternative Trading System (ATS), which enables institutions and brokerage firms to quickly and efficiently trade blocks of NYSE-listed companies, NASDAQ stocks, ADRs, and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).

Haver Analytics signed an early, long-term renewal for the entire 33rd floor of 12,041 square feet at The Lincoln Building. The firm specializes in database and software products for economic analysis and business decision-making, and maintains more than 150 economic and financial databases from over 550 government and private sources. Tenant broker: Michael Burlant of Cushman & Wakefield.

Hudson Valley Bank, the largest independently owned commercial bank headquartered in Westchester County, leased a portion of the 19th floor of 112 West 34th Street for its newest office. Tenant broker: Richard Leroy of Delphi Commercial.
