In the last issue of W&H Talk, we provided a detailed overview of our multi-million-dollar capital improvements program. These improvements, which are observable in nearly every area of every building, are not only cosmetic, but also structural and systemic.
Our public corridors are a good example. Thanks to the improvements, they look wonderful. Equally important, they feel wonderful, now that A/C has been installed in each public corridor in The Lincoln Building, 501 Seventh Avenue and 1359 Broadway, and will soon be installed in the public corridors of 250 West 57th Street.
"Our goal is to make our properties thoroughly modern in every respect, while retaining the aesthetically pleasing qualities of pre-war style," says Anthony E. Malkin, president of W&M Supervisory Services, the asset manager for the W&H property portfolio. "The renovated public corridors meet this goal."
He adds, "Now we can say that we've literally created the 'coolest' portfolio in Manhattan."
