According to BOMA's website, the Historical Building award honors "commitment to the preservation of (the property's) historical integrity while taking full advantage of the improvements of the modern era." The Operating Building of the Year honors "outstanding operations including energy management, emergency preparedness, environmental compliance, community impact, tenant relations, operational standards, training excellence and overall attractiveness."

Previous Pinnacle award winners within the W&H portfolio include 501 Seventh Avenue (Renovated Building and Operating Office Building Award in the 100,000 - 499,999-square-foot category), 1359 Broadway (Renovated Building) and One Grand Central Place (Historical Building).
