"The Success of Your Business is Our Business." At W&H Properties, we know that our business success is dependent upon the long-term success of our tenants. As part of our ongoing commitment to provide the highest level of service, we make every effort to help those whose businesses are growing to expand. And now we are pleased to announce several recent expansions within the portfolio.
Li & Fung Limited, the world's leading buying agency for consumer goods, recently expanded at both 1333 Broadway and 1359 Broadway and generated a great deal of attention within Manhattan's real estate community. As reported in Crain's New York Business, the firm took an aggregate 100,000 square feet of additional space at the buildings, bringing its total occupancy in the W&H portfolio to 312,000 square feet. Another significant expansion at 1333 Broadway was that of Aetna Life Insurance Company, which leased an additional 8,000 square feet, bringing its total occupancy to nearly 47,000 square feet. Across the street, several law firms expanded at 1350 Broadway, including Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, which grew by approximately 40 percent and now occupies nearly 27,000 square feet on two floors. Cary Kane now occupies nearly 9,000 square feet as a result of an expansion of approximately 60 percent. Occasionally, expansions entail relocation from one W&H property to another. This was the case with Kohl's, which is more than doubling the size of its design office (established at 1359 Broadway in 2007) by relocating to two full floors at 1400 Broadway. "These expansions mean a lot to us, because they reflect the strength of our tenant roster in addition to strong tenant satisfaction, which our building management teams work hard to achieve and maintain," says Fred C. Posniak, senior vice president of W&H. "When a tenant chooses to expand within our portfolio, we know that we've delivered on our promises." Expansions also reflect the quality of our tenant rosters, Mr. Posniak adds. "Our tenants are credit-worthy and highly respected within their industry sectors. That's why we're not surprised when more space is necessary because of business growth." If you are a tenant who is contemplating an expansion, please speak to the appropriate leasing agent. We will do everything we can to accommodate your growth, giving you the space you need -- where and when you need it. |
