Steve Berliner

Mr. Berliner, you recently arranged the lease of the entire 43rd floor of The Lincoln Building, totaling 12,386 square feet, for your client, Bennett Lawrence. What prompted you to show the company this particular space?

SB: Two overarching reasons: This is a full tower floor with wonderful views, and it's in a prime Grand Central location

What specifically was Bennett Lawrence looking for?

SB: My client wanted an open plan with lots of glass, sunlight and views, so the space itself was perfect. In addition, many Bennett Lawrence employees commute from Westchester, Connecticut, and from locations around the city, so the proximity to major transportation was also a key factor.

How would you describe the leasing negotiations?

SB: The process was straightforward because the landlord and the managing agent were very professional and hands-on. My client and I appreciated their commitment to closing the deal.

Do you have any general comments about your experiences with W&H?

SB: It's a first-rate organization, and a pleasure to work with. I hope that this is the first of many deals we'll do together.
